Sahuaro Baptist Church offers two children’s church ministries, Kindergarten through First Grade and Second Grade through Fifth Grade. At the present time the two groups meet together for an opening session. Activities include snack time, singing, recognition of birthdays, offering time, and sometimes, short physical exercising-in-place sessions.

The two groups then separate for individual Bible-based lessons with real life applications geared to their levels. Proper church worship and behavior are emphasized throughout the morning. Both evangelism and discipleship are presented in the lessons with the dual goals of reaching every child for Christ and promoting spiritual growth.

Mrs. Kristen Schafer (K-1) and Mrs. Shirley Story (2-5) are leaders with many years of experience in working with children. Both have attended Child Evangelism Fellowship seminars and participated in Good News Clubs in the past. They request your prayer support as they continue to pursue their children’s ministries at Sahuaro Baptist.
